Feature Launch Stages
General Availability​
A feature in General Availability means:
- It is fully validated and expected to perform reliably under a wide range of conditions.
- Any breaking changes will be communicated in advance, with a well-documented migration path.
Public Preview​
A feature in Public Preview means:
- It may contain some functional limitations or minor issues as we continue to gather feedback.
- It may be subject to minor functional or API changes.
This feature is production-ready, and we welcome feedback as you begin using it. Our Product team may check in to gather your insights and share best practices.
Features in Public Preview will be clearly marked in the documentation.
Private Preview​
A feature in Private Preview means:
- It is in an early stage of development and may have functional limitations as we continue to refine it.
- It is subject to significant changes and enhancements, including potential breaking API changes.
- You may have to file a support ticket to request access.
- Public documentation may be limited, with any documentation indicating Private Preview status.
Private Preview features are best suited for experimental or non-critical workflows, and usage is recommended under the direct guidance the Tecton team.
